Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi on Monday said that the arrival of the first batch of Covid-19 vaccines from Beijing was practical proof of the Pak-China friendship.
Earlier today, the first batch of the vaccines arrived in the country from Beijing via a special Pakistan Air Force (PAF) aircraft.

Pakistan and China on Tuesday embarked on a new venture as they established the first agricultural and industrial cooperation information platform in an attempt to promote in-depth business-to-business cooperation between the two countries.
“As we enter the critical juncture of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), the agriculture sector and industries will be our main focus,” said Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan Nong Rong. Speaking at the inauguration ceremony of China-Pakistan Agricultural and Industrial Cooperation Information Platform, the ambassador said 2021 would mark the completion of 70 years of brotherly relations between Pakistan and China, and with the launch of the platform, “we will organise forums to display information to further strengthen business-to-business cooperation between the two countries”.
Air Chief inaugurates JF-17 Block-III production by installing first rivet

Pakistan Aeronautical Complex has formally launched the production work of Block-III of JF-17 Thunder aircraft on the completion of dual-seat JF-17 fighter jet.
The launching ceremony was held at Pakistan Aeronautical Complex Kamra on Wednesday, which was attended by Air Chief Marshal, Mujahid Anwar Khan and Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan Nong Rong.
Speaking on the occasion, the Air Chief emphasized on indigenization and self-reliance in military hardware.
He praised initiatives of Pakistan Aeronautical Complex Kamra for design, development, manufacturing, and overhaul of aerial warfare assets.
He also applauded the collaboration between aviation industries of Pakistan and China.

China’s Ambassador to Pakistan Nong Rong called on Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa at military’s headquarters in Rawalpindi and discussed matters of mutual interest including CPEC and defence cooperation.
“Matters of mutual interest, bilateral defence cooperation and regional security situation including CPEC [China-Pakistan Economic Corridor] were discussed during the meeting,” Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a statement on Monday.
CPEC to be turned into model green belt initiative

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan and China Monday agreed to turn China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) into a model green belt and road initiative to protect and preserve natural environment in the region.
It was decided during a meeting held here between Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Climate Change Malik Amin Aslam and a three-member delegation headed by China’s Ambassador to Pakistan Nong Rong.
Various important issues came up in the meeting such as environmental sustainability, climate resilience, renewable energy, green economic recovery, air pollution, water conservation and disaster risk reduction. Malik Amin Aslam informed the ambassador that the government had already launched an ambitious Protected Areas Initiative under the umbrella programme ‘Clean Green Pakistan’.
