APCFA president praises China s development, as centennial of CPP s founding coming--China Economic Net

ISLAMABAD, June 4 (China Economic Net)  - This year is very important, as it is also the celebration and commemoration of 100 years of Communist Party of China, said Farwa Zafar, president of All Pakistan China Friendship Association(APCFA). Leadership is most important for the development. I am an eye witness of the transcending change that China has made since my first visit in 1973.     I first landed in China as a young teenager in Hong Kong, where my father was a consul general. A few months later, I went to Beijing on a cold winter night. Farwa told us that her first cultural impression of China is that everybody was on a bicycle. All men and women were dressing in similar suits. There were no high buildings anywhere. But, I could feel the resilience and the passion to move forward that Chinese people had shown. They were determined.  

Pakistan and China to establish friendship garden in Peshawar--China Economic Net

  Peshawar, Apr. 22 (Gwadar Pro)- Pakistan and Iron Brother China will establish a friendship garden in Peshawar citing the sister city status of Peshawar and Urumqi, the capital city of Xinjiang province.   Khyber Pakhtunkhaw Minister for Local Government and Rural Development Akbar Ayub Khan proposed the establishment of the friendship garden during the visit of the Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan Nong Rong to the provincial capital.   Ambassador Nong Rong appreciated the idea and pledged all possible support and assistance, said an official statement released here on Wednesday.   Ambassador Nong Rong said no effort would be spared to further cement ties between China and Pakistan.

China to reconstruct schools damaged during militancy National April 20, 2021 PESHAWAR: Chief Minister Mahmood Khan and Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan, Nong Rong on Monday inaugurated the project of reconstruction of damaged schools in the newly merged tribal areas. In the first phase of the project, a total of 50 schools destroyed during militancy in Bara Tehsil of the tribal Khyber district will be reconstructed. These schools include 24 schools for boys and 26 for girls. The total estimated cost of the reconstruction project is Rs2323 million, out of which Rs 868 million will be provided by the government of Pakistan while 10.29 million US dollars will be provided by China.
