The growing wave of digitisation that has swept across Pakistan will be a game changer for many overseas Pakistanis, experts said.
Several initiatives that have been launched as part of this digitalisation drive, such as the Roshan Digital Account, are already bearing tangible results, while the upcoming introduction of many more, including a court to resolve land grabbing cases and a long-term national tourism strategy, will tackle key issues that overseas Pakistanis have been facing in recent years.

DUBAI: Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi reached United Arab Emirates (UAE) again on Saturday after visiting the emirates in December last year.
During his three-day visit, Qureshi will meet UAE’s Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan and other dignitaries, according to a press statement.
Qureshi will hold consultations with the UAE’s leadership on all areas of bilateral cooperation including collaboration in trade and investment, job opportunities for Pakistani workforce and the welfare of Pakistani diaspora, the Pakistan Foreign Office stated in the press release.
On Saturday night, Pakistan Business Council Dubai hosted an Iftar dinner in the honour of the foreign minister. Qureshi stated in his brief speech that Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates had improved their bilateral relations in diverse fields, including trade, and the partnership would be enhanced in near future. The Foreign Ministers of India and Pakistan are in Abu Dhabi, UAE on separate bilateral visit and engagements with the Emirati leadership. While Pakistan s foreign minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi arrived on Saturday, External Affairs Minister of India S Jaishankar will land on Sunday.
The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) spokesperson, Arindam Bagchi in a tweet said that the focus of the visit was economic cooperation and community welfare given the huge Indian diaspora there.
