A Pakistani high court on Thursday indicted Islamabad's district commissioner and three police officers in a contempt case for violating court orders regarding the detention of two leaders of former prime minister Imran Khan's Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf party.
Former Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan s appeal against his conviction in the Toshakhana corruption case is expected to be ruled on Friday by the high court. Khan s lawyer argued that the verdict was hasty and flawed, while the defense team requested more time to complete its arguments. Khan was sentenced to three years in prison for hiding the proceeds from the sale of state gifts.
