Minister says PTI govt taking care of homeless people Peshawar May 6, 2021 PESHAWAR: Minister for Social Welfare Dr Hisham Inamullah said the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf government had prioritised the empowerment of the poor and was taking steps to provide facilities to the homeless people. He made these remarks during his visit to the Government Shelter Home at Pajaggi Road here. The minister had iftar with the IDPs and travellers and distributed Eid gifts among them. On the occasion, Shelter Home Programme Chairperson Neelam Toru was also present. Hisham Inamullah said Prime Minister Imran Khan’s vision for the welfare of the homeless and poor was commendable.

SNGPL enlists steps taken to address low gas pressure issue Peshawar January 2, 2021 PESHAWAR: The Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) said on Friday that a 16-kilometre long pipeline was in operation phase to meet the requirements of city, Cantonment and other areas on Charsadda and Warsak roads. SNGPL General Manager, Peshawar Region, Taj Ali Khan, said the company was committed to providing gas supply at optimum pressures to all consumers, including domestic consumers. “SNGPL has recently commissioned 16 km pipeline of the 12-inch diameter which is in operational phase to meet the requirements of the Peshawar City, Cantonment and areas falling on the Charsadda Road and Warsak Road Peshawar,” he explained.

Officials said that the district administration on the recommendations of the district health officer ordered to control entry and exit in Rashidabad along the Canal Road towards Pajaggi Road, Kabul River Canal Road and Charsadda Road to contain the spread of the Covid-19. Similarly, the locality along with Lucky Dheri road, Kabul River Canal and Nimra Public School Road, Sector D-II, Phase-I Hayatabad, Street No.1, 2, 3 and Ghalib Street, Sethi Town and Haji Camp would remain under smart lockdown with immediate effect till further orders.
