FULTON Beating the Kirksville Tigers for the first time since Feb. 14, 2020, to snap their seven-game losing streak against them, the Fulton Hornets won their first varsity girls basketball gym in the new gym Friday at Fulton High School.
Thursday marked the final home game for the Kirksville softball team, and the Tigers picked up a 6-1 victory over Battle on senior day to win their fourth game out of five. Kirksville is now 15-11 on the season with one game to go on Tuesday before the start of the Class 4 District 5 Tournament on Thursday.
The Kirksville softball team has gotten off to a hot start in the 2023 season. In the first five games of the season, the Tigers outscored their opponents 56-11 overall and won four of their first five games.
