pairi: Ayodhya: 24 lakh diyas to be lit on Ram ki Pairi on Diwali eve

Preparations are underway in Ayodhya for Deepotsav, a festival where 24 lakh earthen lamps will be lit on Ram ki Pairi. A light and sound show will also be held on a daily basis from November 11. The show, which will feature two steel columns and a curtain, has been assigned to the Uttar Pradesh Project Corporation Limited at a cost of approximately Rs 20 crore. The show will showcase Ramayan-based movies and will run for two hours in the evening for the next five years.
