The PCM Mustangs played in their first double header in over a week Tuesday at West Marshall as heard on the KRLS3 stream at kniakrls.com and wound up splitting the Trojans. The Mustang girls fell 57-24 and the boys won 67-39.
The PCM girls didn’t have it very easy from the jump, as they only scored six points in the first half. They tripled that in the second half, but turnovers hurt any chance the Mustangs had. Paige Steenhook and Lilli Baird combined for 19 points while the rest of the team had just five.
The Mustang boys had a little issues at the start, trailing 14-7 early. However, a wisely taken timeout rallied the troops and PCM took the lead back almost immediately. They had little issue the rest of the way. Carson Vande Lune enjoyed a big night, amassing 22 points.
