A humble Wanaka pie has again been crowned best of its
variety in New Zealand.

Local piemaker Kai Pai Bakery was last
night awarded the Gold Award for its Chicken, Leek and Bacon
pie at New Zealand’s premier Bakels Supreme Pie Awards in
Auckland, along with five other Top 10 awards.
