THE final phase of a £10m project to create a total of 67 new affordable homes in an East Lancashire town has been completed. Phase Three of the Station Road development in Padiham began in August 2019 and finished last week, marking the completion of the wider project as Calico Homes welcomed new residents into their homes. It has provided an additional 26 general needs affordable homes, consisting of one three-bedroom house, three two-bedroom houses, 11 one-bedroom ground floor cottage flats and 11 two-bedroom first floor cottage flats. The development first began in 2018 and was welcomed by local residents who were keen to see the formerly derelict land put to good use.
