Best & Less is rolling this out to its 185 stores

Best & Less is rolling this out to its 185 stores By Imogen Bailey | 7 June 2021 Best & Less is set to roll out 100% recyclable enviro-hangers to its 185 stores across Australia. Following a successful trial, Best & Less will roll out the hangers to its network, helping to combat the 85% of plastic that ends up in landfill at the end of its life. The enviro-hangers are made from recyclable paper and compete with plastic hangers on price, strength and style – having been awarded the Gold medal in the Home Zero Waste category at the Australian Non-Toxic Awards 2020. Best & Less head of kids buying Vanessa Noy said the action forms part of the retailer’s larger sustainability mission.

Church leaders told they would receive refund for damaged religious items

Joseph Listen to this WILKES-BARRE St. Anthony St. George Maronite Church will at least recoup its shipping losses from UPS after its set of Stations of the Cross was destroyed in shipment, the shipping company told the Times Leader on Thursday. The church shipped its valuable set of Stations of the Cross to a Maronite Church in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., just before Easter, but the pieces were utterly destroyed in transit. The shipment cost $600, and when the shipment was refused by the Florida church, it was sent back to St. Anthony St. George, costing the local church another $600. To make matters worse, UPS initially ruled that the church wasn’t entitled to a refund, with Linda Joseph, a member of the church, with UPS telling the Times Leader on Wednesday that the boxes weren’t sufficiently packaged in the company’s view.
