Residents and farmers hoping to get more fruit from their mango trees have new resources to turn to, in the form of a 30-year-old mango orchard and two new guidebooks.
Practical knowledge and resources for consumers, families, agricultural producers and small businesses will be showcased at a festival next week called Extoberfest.
The public is invited to ArborFest Ridge to Reef, a celebration of trees and their role in island ecosystems 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday at Jeff’s Pirates Cove in Ipan, Talo’fo’fo.
