Police said that during investigation they found several discrepancies related to fire safety at the hospital. The state government paid Rs 4 lakh relief compensation to the kin of the deceased. The incident took place on April 17 in the Covid ward of a private hospital located at Pachpedi Naka in Raipur. Patients were rushed out and shifted to other hospitals while five of them couldn t be carried outside and they died.
