Jammu Admin launches massive drive to implement Covid containment SOPs, guidelines Jammu Admin launches massive drive to implement Covid containment SOPs, guidelines JAMMU: District Administration Jammu has launched a massive drive for effective implementation of Covid containment SoPs and guidelines across the District. The latest Guidelines and SOPs issued by the State Disaster Management Committee and District Magistrate are being enforced on the ground through the ADMs, Tehsildars and Naib-Tehsildars and Police department. The drive was focused particularly in rural areas of Tehsils Bishnah, Arnia, Nagrota, R.S.Pura, Akhnoor, Dansal, Jourian, Jammu West and Niabats Rehal, Miran Sahib, Gole-Gujral, Chak Malal and Digiana alongwith Narwal Sabzi Mandi.

IB Insp, Naib Tehsildar, 22-yr-old girl among 28 more COVID deaths in Jammu 3 women die, 245 infected in Ladakh Sanjeev Pargal JAMMU, May 5: Jammu and Kashmir today recorded highest-ever 52 COVID casualties and 4716 positive cases in a day even as 2338 patients recovered from the virus. Jammu region continued to account for more fatalities than Kashmir reporting 28 deaths and 1518 cases. Six districts in the region reported fresh positives in three digits indicating spread of the virus in semi-urban and rural belts. Among 28 COVID casualties in Jammu region, 13 were women including a young girl, an Intelligence Bureau (IB) Inspector, a Naib Tehsildar, a woman carrying eight-month pregnancy, one mentally-deranged female and a man from Chhattisgarh. Seventeen deaths were reported in Jammu district, five Samba, two each Poonch and Rajouri and one each in Kathua and Kishtwar districts.

Div Com conducts Jammu city tour, inspects sanitation services being provided by JMC

Share Jammu: Divisional Commissioner Jammu, Dr Raghav Langer today conducted an extensive tour of Jammu city early morning and inspected the sanitation services being provided by Jammu Municipal Corporation in the city. The Div Com was accompanied by Assistant Commissioner General Jammu, Rakesh Dubey; Secretary JMC, Tina Mahajan; Health Officer JMC, Dr Sanjogita Soodan; besides engineers of JPDCL and other concerned officers. The Div Com started his tour from Gole Market Gandhi Nagar and visited Valmiki Chowk, Gandhi Nagar, Bakshi Nagar, Kachi Chawni, Pacca Danga, Old City and other adjoining areas and culminated at Town Hall. The Div Com expressed satisfaction over the sanitation services being rendered by JMC for maintaining hygienic condition in the city and making available other civic amenities in these areas. He issued slew of directions to develop a clean and Green Jammu.
