Spain: EIB invests €50 million in Wenea to deploy over 470 charging stations
The EIB financing will support Wenea’s €100 million plan to increase long distance mobility in Spain, placing the company as a leading operator in the (ultra)fast segment in the country.

The European Investment Bank (EIB) and Wenea, via Nordian CPO, a company owned by Diggia Group that provides services for electric vehicles, are joining forces to strengthen long-distance and interurban electric mobility in Spain. The EU bank will provide €50 million to Wenea via Nordian CPO, enabling the Spanish company to carry out an investment of around €100 million to increase long distance mobility in Spain.

By the end of 2021, Ukraine’s OKKO will upgrade with a new image around 76% of the company’s total network of gas stations in the country, announced Founder and Head of OKKO Group, Vitaly Antonov, in an interview published on OKKO’s official website.
OKKO’s rebranding plans for 2021 will reach 330 sites out of 410 the company currently operates in Ukraine. In addition to the revamp of external elements at the locations, 97 fuel stations will also integrate solar panels, according to Antonov.

Everfuel A/S signed an agreement to acquire 100% of the shares in Danish Hydrogen Fuel A/S (DHF) for an undisclosed amount to bolster its position in Scandinavia. The business being acquired includes four hydrogen fueling stations near the Danish cities of Korsør, Kolding, Esbjerg and Aarhus.
Danish Hydrogen Fuel A/S is today owned by Nel Hydrogen A/S, the industrial gas company Strandmøllen A/S and Danish fuel retailer OK A.m.b.a. Companies are expected to complete the transaction in the coming week.

Egypt’s current total number of natural gas filling stations reached 200 locations following the recent opening of the first natural gas pump in Sharm el Sheikh, South Sinai, according to an Egypt’s Cabinet statement issued on 26 December.
The country plans to open 325 new natural gas filling stations by the end of 2021, stated Egypt’s Minister of Petroleum & Minerals, Tarek El Molla.
