Lahore: At least three people were killed and 20 others injured on Thursday in a powerful blast at the Paan Mandi in Lahore s famous Anarkali market, where Indian commodities are sold, police said.
Lahore police spokesperson Rana Arif confirmed the death of three persons in the blast that shattered windows of nearby shops and buildings, Dawn newspaper reported.

Hyderabad: Spitting in public places is banned by way of checking the spread of Covid-19. However, people in Hyderabad chew an estimated 10 lakh paan packs wrapped in betel leaves a day and are spitting their way through the streets.
No advice to them is welcome. On April 11, an elderly person who objected to the spitting at the Urban Primary Health Centre in Malakpet was thrashed. The 64-year-old was beaten up by three men. The Malakpet police intervened and settled the matter through a compromise pact.

Hyderabad: The state government banned spitting in public places as a measure to curb the spread of Covid-19. However, people are estimated to chew 10 lakh paan packs wrapped in betel leaves in a day and are spitting their way through the streets in Hyderabad.
The issue is half of these pan packs contain tobacco. “The Covid-19 pandemic has brought to the fore the importance of hygiene and cleanliness in both personal as well as public spheres. There is a dire need to impose restrictions on unhealthy practices that may potentially lead to the spread of such viruses and other infections. In the interest of public health and safety, spitting of the pan, any chewable tobacco or non
