Elder Ezekiel Odumakin, the father of late activist and former spokesperson for the Yoruba socio-cultural organisation, Afenifere, Comrade Yinka Odumakin, died Monday evening at the age of 116. Dr. Joe Okei-Odumakin, who broke the news, stated that she spoke with the elderly man earlier on Monday and they had a brief prayer session as well as other family discussions. She said Nigerians would remember Pa Odumakin as someone who remained strong in the face of a devastating tragedy.
