WHITE TOWNSHIP PLANNING COMMISSION APPROVES SITE PLAN FOR PAWC BOOSTER PUMP STATION By Hometown2

On Wednesday night, the White Township Planning Commission had one site plan up for approval, and that was for a PA-American Water Company Booster Pump Station.
The station is located at the Oak Hill Water Tank site near Locust Street on the East Side of the Borough. Assistant Manager Chris Anderson said that the site plan utilized existing parts of the site for the upgrade.

All three Punxsutawney Fire Departments were called to Aldi’s Supermarket in the Punxsy Plaza to a fire alarm indicating a sprinkler system malfunction Thursday morning.
According to the Punxsutawney Fire Department’s Facebook Page, Lindsey, Central, and Elk Run Fire Company were dispatched to the scene where the sprinkler malfunction caused flooding in various parts of the store. Firefighters entered the store as employees were trying to deal with the water that flooding the rear of the store and storage areas. The PA American Water Company was called to the scene and were able to shut the water off. Punxsutawney fire fighters and store employees were able to push most of the water out of the store.
