Organizers of some of Prince Edward Island's famed pre-Christmas craft sales say there has been an increase in the number of people selling their wares lots of them getting into it for the first time.
The P.E.I. Crafts Council is hosting the work of 17 local artists at the Confederation Centre of the Arts. Most of the art was created using materials found after post-tropical storm Fiona hit the island on Sept. 23 and 24, 2022.
Craft makers on P.E.I. are already seeing an increase in sales this year, which they say bodes well for the summer tourism season. But they're also feeling the squeeze of rising costs.
