The Nigeria Police Force has demanded a court affidavit from the family of a woman who was allegedly killed by a medical doctor at the University of Nigeria Teaching Hospital (UNTH) in Enugu State. The police allegedly asked the family to vow that they would no longer demand justice in the case before the corpse of their mother would be released for burial, SaharaReporters was told.
The Enugu Command of the Nigeria Police Force has ordered the Chief Medical Director of the University of Nigeria Teaching Hospital (UNTH) to produce one Doctor Chibuoke accused of manslaughter. SaharaReporters had reported that the family of the late Romanus Nwaosu of Amaeta village in Mgbowo, Awgu local government of Enugu state accused Dr Chibuoke and a nurse of killing their mother, Mrs Janet Nwaosu at the UNTH on October 18, 2022.
