A man who stabbed a love rival through the heart with a pair of scissors in north London has been found guilty of murder.
Ozughan Altun, 30, became obsessed with Michael Baptista, 24, who had been in a brief relationship with Altun’s ex-girlfriend.
Altun was convicted of murder at Wood Green Crown Court on Friday after he stabbed Mr Baptista five times and left him to die in the street on December 19, last year.
The court heard how Altun attacked Mr Baptista after the 24-year-old visited a location near Altun’s shop in Walthamstow.
Police were called to an altercation on Bromley Road at 7.15pm and found Mr Baptista suffering from stab injuries. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
