Rotaract Club gives to relief efforts Article by May 1, 2021 On April 8, 2021, following significant seismic activity, the La Soufrière volcano in the neighbouring islands of St. Vincent and the Grenadines experienced the first of a continued series of explosive eruptions. In response to the adverse effects of these eruptions, the Rotaract Club of Barbados decided to take a three-pronged approach to relief efforts which included a clothing and water drive, donation of sanitary products and child care items and a cash donation, between April 12 and 24. Over this period, through contributions from its members and partners in service, the Club raised over BDS$5,000.00 which was divided between each of the three phases.
