As Tamil Nadu, along with the entire country, battles to provide beds and oxygen points to the increasing load of Covid-19 patients, many with breathing distress are left to fend for themselves.
Watching the pandemic wreaking havoc around them, two youths in Chennai decided to help patients any way they could. Vasant Kumar and Sathyaraj, who run the free coaching center Kadamia Education Trust for the underprivileged, bought two auto-rickshaws and spent 70,000 on each to equip them with a 200 cubic litre oxygen cylinder.
