happy national doughnut day. in case you didn t know, the salvation army got this holiday started in 1938 as a fund-raiser to help people during the depression. we are keeping tradition this morning going and having a visit to a doughnut shop serving gourmet doughnuts in a really unusual spot in manhattan. tina trinh stopped by for a taste test. we re at the car wash today. this car wash has a doughnut shop right around the corner. we re going to check it out. we re inside with owner scott. scott, this is a genius idea, car wash, doughnuts. how did it come about? it really started with my desire to open up a business of my own. my father shared with me he had space in the car wash. while it wasn t in my original plans, it was out of necessity and being creative. that s how i ended up here. it works. sure does. i m a huge doughnut fan. let s do this. we re going to make our
