Owls Head Library Will Host Airport Discussion Tuesday, March 16, 2021 9:01 PM Owls Head Village Library will hold a Zoom meeting about the Knox County Airport on Tuesday, March 30, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Carole Martin, a professional moderator, will facilitate.
The library has been selected as one of 200 libraries nationally to participate in Libraries Transforming Communities: Focus on Small and Rural Libraries, an American Library Association initiative.
The meeting will include information about the airport master plan, stakeholder roles, a summary of Owls Head’s Comprehensive Plan, and a review of the expiring interlocal agreement and proposed new 20-year agreement that will be on the Owls Head ballot in mid-April.

OWLS HEAD A competitive grant award from Libraries Transforming Communities is being used to host a Zoom meeting for Owls Head residents and other interested parties to provide information on the Knox County Airport: its master plan, the roles of the various stakeholders, a summary of Owls Head’s Comprehensive Plan and a review of the current expiring interlocal agreement and the proposed new 20-year agreement which will be voted on in mid-April by Owls Head residents.
Invited to speak in a highly structured format at the meeting are all identified stakeholders: the FAA, the regional airport advisory committee (APAC), the County, the airport manager, the Owls Head Airport Advisory Committee (OHAC) and the Owls Head Select Board/Town Committee members.
