Sturgis Titans wrap up season in Sioux Falls
SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – After a 10-0 opening game loss on Friday, the Sturgis Titans rebounded in a big way, and upset Sioux Falls Post 15 West in game two Saturday.
Dustin Allan had a walk-off hit as Sturgis scored 3 runs in the bottom of the 7th inning to win 4-3.
Kain Peters got the win, pitching all 7 innings and striking out three batters.
That momentum carried into a winner take all game three, where Post 15 West scored the game’s only run in the sixth inning to take the win 1-0.

Sturgis Post 33 Pummels the Post 22 Expos in Vets Classic Tourney

RAPID CITY, SD Sturgis Post 33 won big over the Post 22 Expos 13-4 on Thursday morning in the opening game of the Veterans Classic Baseball Tournament.
In the first inning, the Post 33 Titans got their offense started when RJ Andrzejewski singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.
Sturgis tallied five runs in the second inning. The rally was led by a triple by Ridge Inhofer, a groundout by David Anderson, and a double by Thor Sundstrom.
Dustin Alan earned the victory on the mound for Sturgis Post 33. The pitcher allowed one hit and two runs over two and two-thirds innings, striking out two and walking one. Owen Cass threw two and a third innings in relief out of the bullpen.
