Homicide Surge Hits Overland Park
The Overland Park, Kansas, police department is investigating an early morning homicide in a busy area of the city.Police said the incident happened in the 8500 block of West 8th Street - that area is near the Overland Park City Hall, and not far from Shawnee Mission West High School.News Chopper 9 s Johnny Rowlands flew over the scene and noted most of the Greenbrier Condominiums, across from Shawnee Mission West, have been roped off with crime scene tape.
OVERLAND PARK, KS (KCTV) Police in Overland Park are investigating a homicide early Monday morning. The victim has been identified as 35-year-old Jeren Hinton of Overland Park. Officers say a man is dead after a shooting about 5:20 a.m. in the 8500 block of West 85th Street.
