Cincinnati City Council will hold a public hearing in the Economic Growth and Zoning Committee Wednesday, Jan. 20 to discuss this plot of land at Liberty and Elm Streets in Over-the-Rhine. The nearly five-acres would be used for upscale housing units and retail. Several stakeholders, including Michelle Dillingham, who is running for city council, are opposing the project. Too many households are pressured by rising rents and housing costs as incomes have dropped or stayed the same. We believe that American Rescue Plan (ARP) funds represent an unprecedented opportunity to invest in Cincinnati’s local economy and quality-of-life through the support of housing stability, especially for low- and moderate-income families.
