murder count. for more on that exclusive trial and really the unfinished business of it now, we want to turn to cnn legal analyst paul callan, thank you so much for being with us. good morning, christi. out of the gate, give us your are you surprised? surprised, shocked, stunned. i prosecuted murder cases and i ve defended murder cases. this was a very weak defense that was put up on the board and the fact that a jury bought into it or at least that some jurors bought into this self-defense claim is really shocking to me and i think a lot of other observers of the trial. paul, here s what i don t understand, maybe you can reconcile these for me and this is what we re seeing on social media, as well. how is it possible that the jury convicted michael dunn of attempted second degree murder of the three he did not kill, but did not convict him of murder on the one person he did actually kill. i think people are going to have a lot of trouble understanding how that can be.
