one of the reporters in the washington post story about an intelligence bombshell that was delivered to then president obama that included sourcing deep that detailed valiladimir putin s election assault and that included putin specific instructions. the over arching theme is unwilling to engage and that putin was behind it. do we know if president trump seen that bombshell intelligence reporting detailing specific orders from putin? absolutely. that s one of the things we reported today is is that when the senior intelligence officials travel to new york after trump won the election but before he was inaugurated on january 6th this year, they laid out for him all of the most highly classified components of that intelligence case.
defense. he s saying i told you there was a snickers bar, and now the details are coming out that there was, you know, some sort of glucose sugar in there, and people are saying you didn t list that. he s saying, maybe i didn t, but i told you it was snickers. you want to flip it over and look at the list, you can. speak to that. i say it, not in sarcasm, but in reality, that is what he s submitted. he submitted a lot of over arching companies which then have all of these extra details on the back of their label. well, i think we re far away from any conclusion about the possibility of criminal conduct. that s a very serious charge. he would have had to intend to lie to the senate, and then indeed lie to the senate to warrant a criminal charge. what this does do, however, and i think this is the most important part, is that it gives mr. mueller a whole new area of inquiry. it may be that he turns up

resources from the congressional perspective, that the agencies and department take a little bit of time to get those resources into the communities. and so we were able to address that issue, flag it for the president. and he assured me he would work with congress to ensure all of those communities would have the resources they need to rebuild and reconstruct after this disaster. well, i hope it was suitably flagged because the news we have to report again tonight out of your state is just so, so dire. and we re thinking of all those people. our great thanks to congresswoman stephanie murphy and congressman tom reid. thank you both after a more eventful than not day in washington i m sure for both of you. coming up after this break, everyone thought it was a little strange with hillary clinton s book out now two days, we haven t heard on the president on that topic, not really. we re back with that conversation after this.
with the president at the request of the white house to, as the new york times puts it tonight, give trump a history lesson on racism. i was encouraged and pleasantly, well, not surprised, but it was nice that he was very much listening. certainly i got the history of our nation in three or four centuries of rain, murder, and death brought at the hands of the kkk and those people who believe in a superior race. there s just yeah, i wanted to make sure we were clear on the delineation between who s on which side and the history of the nation. we should note when the white house reported on the meeting between the two men, they did not mention charlottesville as a topic. in their official photo of the sit-down, senator tim scott was identified instead as tom scott. that is our broadcast.
