“We are always thankful to our teacher-broadcasters and production crews who have served tirelessly to continue educating our children despite the situation,” Education Secretary Leonor Briones said.
Briones said that the DepEd TV project has “really brought countless stories of resiliency and creativity of our personnel and we want to recognize them for their service.
The awards, DepEd said, is part of “celebrating a year of successful educational broadcasting amidst the pandemic.” Set to happen on the first founding anniversary of the initiative on August 20, the DepEd TV Awards will give out 50 different accolades for kinder, elementary, and secondary TV lessons aired from August 2020 to July 2021.
