Kevin Stitt did earlier this week in the aftermath of an attack from the radicals in the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals group, also known as “PETA.” Stitt, a Republican, announced back in March that March 22-26 would be “#MeatAllWeek” week after Colorado Gov. Jared Polis, a Democrat, declared March 20th a “MeatOut Day.” Polis’ actions sparked what the New York Times referred to at the time as a “meat war” in the region, with neighboring state leaders and various cattleman’s associations and the like pushing back by promoting meat consumption and showing support for the agriculture community.
