At Caldera, we believe in the power of creativity.
Caldera is a catalyst for the transformation of youth from underserved communities through innovative, year round art and environmental programs. Our Youth Program provides students from Portland and Central Oregon with long-term mentoring that nurtures individual creativity, beginning in sixth grade and continuing into young adulthood. Caldera weaves the arts, nature, and personal expression into powerful work that ignites self-expression and allows young people to be creative change agents in their lives and communities. Through our Residency Program, Caldera supports artists, creatives, and cultural workers to work on projects and to build skills and relationships that inspire growth, abolish oppression, and activate change.

Spring Radiothon Starts April 16th!
Friends and family of KZMU!
Radiothon is just around the corner and we’re welcoming the Spring with many things to be grateful for: our DJs are nearly all back in the booth, doing their shows live; our Board of Trustees has grown by nearly 75% as we welcomed three new members of the community into our ranks and bid adieu in gratitude for decades of service from Michele Blackburn; our program schedule has filled out with several new DJs offering everything from electronic dance to multi-ethnic rhythm forward deep dives and straight ahead punk rock. Our Youth Program offerings are growing rapidly including welcoming a high school intern!
