The facility is co-located at the University of Aberdeen’s Butchart Centre on University Road, where testing of students will continue in parallel with the public who will be able to book a test at their convenience. NHS Grampian’s Head of Health Intelligence, Jillian Evans, said: “Community testing is voluntary but we hope that providing easy access to tests for any member of the public as well as key workers without symptoms, will encourage people to come forward.

A Covid-19 testing centre is opening up to the wider community as of tomorrow.
The facility, co-located at the University of Aberdeen’s Butchart Centre on University Road, had originally been set up to test students for the virus.
But as of Monday, March 8 the centre will open to the public, who will be able to book a test at their convenience.
