MANILA - The Philippine National Police's Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) has arrested 113 persons in intensified anti-criminality operations from Sept. 9 to 11. In a statement on Tuesday, CIDG chief Brig. Gen. Ronald Lee said a total of 60 operations resulted in the arrest of 79 persons through its "Oplan Pagtugis", a campaign against wanted persons. The figure includes one suspect tagged as a regional Most Wanted Person (MWP), three suspects listed as provincial MWPs, four suspects listed as municipal MWPs, and 33 other wanted persons. Meanwhile, another 34 individuals were detained due to illegal gambling which resulted in the confiscation of bet money worth PHP186,960. He said the MWPs and other arrested persons are in the custody of respective arresting CIDG units. (PNA) }
