Cy-Fair resource guide: Nonprofits, community reeling after winter storm By Chevall Pryce, Staff writer
In the midst of a pandemic, millions in the Harris County area found themselves without power during one of the most intense winter storms in Texas history this week, compounding the economic effects of COVID-19 for some with ongoing power outages and bursting water pipes.
Nonprofit and community organizations in Cy-Fair, such as Northwest Assistance Ministries and Cypress Assistance Ministries, work to fill in gaps for local families with food, supplies and financial assistance while recovering from the storm themselves.

CAM, a nonprofit for low-income families in need of assistance is seeking donations and volunteers in order to continue providing for the local community.
