moments ago, the vice president is facing some criticism for not visiting the southern border where, on the mexican side tonight, there is a massive number of migrants hoping to get into the u.s. our gabe gutierrez is there. reporter: in reynosa, mexico, this tent camp is feet from the u.s. border but worlds away. [ speaking foreign language ] reporter: this morning, this woman from honduras and her two children were sent back here after crossing the rio grande she says her family paid smugglers $11,000. [ speaking foreign language ] reporter: many of the hundreds of migrants here have been returned to mexico because of covid protocols put in place by the trump administration two weeks ago, there were six kidnappings in one night. and kidnapping, they come onto the plaza. you hear the person screaming for help everyone stands around and watches. no one wants to die. people have their own children. reporter: felicia rangel-samponaro
