Head coach Dominique Ducharme is “very, very confident” that captain Shea Weber will be in the lineup for Game 1 of the Canadiens’ playoff series against the Maple Leafs Thursday night in Toronto
(7:30 p.m., CBC, SN, TVA Sports, TSN 690 Radio, 98.5 FM).
On Tuesday morning, Weber took part in his first full practice with the team since missing the last eight games of the regular season with an upper-body injury. Tony Marinaro of TSN 690 Radio, who has a history of being correct when it comes to reporting on Canadiens injuries, reported last Friday that Weber has ligament damage in his left thumb that will require surgery at the end of the season.
