Kane Otto Phillips subscribes to the well-know advice, if at first you don’t succeed, try, try again. The former Edmonton man walked into an Edmonton bank late last year and attempted to open an account using a driver’s licence in another person’s name. The clerk noticed several discrepancies and became suspicious. When thes clerk questioned him about the transaction, Phillips simply walked out of the bank. “He got scared off and he left,” Crown Prosecutor Bruce Ainscough told a judge Tuesday in Lethbridge provincial court, where Phillips pleaded guilty to two counts of uttering a forged document.
