New York voters approved a $4.2 billion environmental bond on Tuesday meant to provide funding for mitigating climate change and for improving resilience to extreme weather events.
Nearly 60% of New Yorkers voted in favor of the $4.2 billion Clean Water, Clean Air, and Green Jobs Environmental Bond Act, according to unofficial tallies from the state Board of Elections.
On election day, residents can vote for or against the Clean Water, Clean Air, and Green Jobs Bond Act. But before they do, supporters are providing more information on what the bond can do for the state.
