PETALING JAYA: After more than a month of operating without a new chairman and commissioners, the Human Rights Commission of Malaysia (Suhakam) cannot play its role effectively in defending human rights in Malaysia, say several civil society groups.
KUALA LUMPUR: There are only four commissioners currently serving in the Human Rights Commission of Malaysia (Suhakam) as five have stepped down after completing the maximum two terms.
PETALING JAYA: A module has been developed to strengthen the training of police officers regarding domestic and international human rights standards required when carrying out duties.
A discussion event exploring the linkages between human rights and effective climate policy and action to ensure no one is left behind or displaced in today's changing climate.
