EU High Representative for Foreign Policy and Security Josep Borrell said last night that in talks with President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic and the president of so-called Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, he presented three demands - new elections in the north, ensuring the participation of Serbs in them and starting work on the establishment of the community of municipalities with a Serb majority, stating that otherwise there would be serious consequences on relations with the EU.
tensions escalated after Kosovo authorities attempted to appoint Albanians as mayors in the north of the province following the April 23 elections for local self-government bodies.
