TRAFFORD: Flood response in Timperley criticised after it took over 24 hours for some affected homes to get help
Timperley flooding, Heyes Lane [Image by Cllr Nathan Evans] The response to flooding in Timperley has been criticised after it took over 24 hours for some affected homes and businesses to get help. Residents called contractors Amey PLC, hired by Trafford council to manage its infrastructure, for support as early as 12pm yesterday (Wednesday January 20) but said help had not arrived for them by the evening. Residents and businesses promised pumps last night and this morning have finally had them delivered on Thursday afternoon.
