The largest healthcare provider in the region has announced a new administrator for two local hospitals. OSF Healthcare announced Tuesday that Dr. Glenn J. Milos will be the new vice president and Chief Medical Officer at OSF St. Mary Medical Center in Galesburg and OSF Holy Family Medical Center in Monmouth. In this new position, OSF says that Dr. Milos will ensure consistency in practice standards, facilitate an interdisciplinary team approach to the delivery of care, and will develop and share the vision and strategic direction for the practice of medicine while collaborating on the implementation of the strategy. Several changes coming to medical coverage in the area

Several changes are coming to medical coverage in Knox County through OSF HealthCare. The medical provider announced Tuesday that the PromptCare location found at St. Mary Medical Center at 3375 North Seminary Street will be moving to its new home at 695 Kellogg Street, the site of the former Cottage Hospital. WGIL reported back in February that OSF had entered into a purchase agreement to purchase the "real estate, medical equipment, and, and other assets" from Cottage. Cottage filed for bankruptcy at the beginning of the year, leading to a major scare for patients of the former hospital. The new space was the former emergency department and is being upgraded to serve patients in its new capacity and will provide a "larger capacity for provision of urgent care services, including on-site lab and imaging, in Galesburg and the surrounding communities."
