Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, July 24) A number of Metro Manila cities announced the suspension of their COVID-19 vaccinations on Saturday due to inclement weather caused by the southwest monsoon.
These are the cities of Pasig, Pasay, and Caloocan.
Inoculations in Caloocan will resume on Monday but those who lined up at the vaccination sites on Saturday morning will still be accommodated, Mayor Oscar Malapitan said in an online post.
Those who were supposed to get vaccinated in Pasig and Pasay on Saturday will be informed of their new schedules, the local governments said.
There has been no let-up in monsoon rains in Metro Manila since early this week, causing flooding in many areas.
