A fastmoving, but intense storm system will bring wind, rain, and snow to the area through thursday. Wind will be gusty, especially east of the sierra crest through the evening hours. Rain will develop in the sierra and change over to snow below 7000 after sunset, and around the tahoe basin before midnight. Snow levels will drop to valley floors before sunrise, bringing the possibility of a few slushy inches for the morning commute. Snow levels will rise on thursday and showers will diminish by evening. The commencement audience stood and applauded when Bionca Sparrow, the mother of Oscar Frayer, was joined by Oscar’s nine-year-old nephew, E.J. PHOENIX - Grand Canyon University began to send off the biggest graduating class in its history on Monday.
While the past year has been challenging for college students, students at the Christian university in Phoenix have plenty of reasons to celebrate on April 19, as 28,000 students are set to graduate from the school.
