Eleven new cases of the British coronavirus mutant recorded in Palestine, says health official RAMALLAH, Saturday, January 30, 2021 (WAFA) – Eleven new cases of the British coronavirus mutation have been detected in several areas of the West Bank, today said the director-general of Supportive Medical Services at the Palestinian Ministry of Health, Osama Najjar, bringing the overall number of infections with this mutation in Palestine to 28. Najjar told WAFA that five of the cases were for one family in Deir Jarir village and two in nearby Taybeh, east of Ramallah. Two others were detected in al-Ram, north of Jerusalem, and two more in Bethlehem in the south of the West Bank.
