Some hoodlums attacked and killed two policemen on stop-and-search duty in the Enugu metropolis on Sunday. The state police command's spokesman Daniel Ndukwe who confirmed the unfortunate incident told SaharaReporters that two of the assailants were suspected to have been killed during a gun duel with police operatives. Ndukwe disclosed that the vehicle used by assailants had been recovered with blood stains and "bullet piercings," adding that the state police commissioner, Ahmed Ammani, had launched a manhunt for the hoodlums.
