Developers are set to put forward detailed plans for a 1 million sq ft plus logistics scheme just off the A14 on the outskirts of Ipswich in Suffolk. The 60-acre site, to be known as Orwell Logistics Park, is being promoted by developers BentallGreenOak and Equation Properties and will consist of four units between 88,000 – 500,000 sq ft totalling 1,046,250 sq ft, to be built on a phased basis. It is thought up to 1,500 new jobs could be created at the scheme, which is next door to Ransomes EuroPark. Outline permission for the logistics park was granted in spring 2018. Phase 1 construction is targeted to commence in Q2 2021 to deliver 546,000 sq ft across 3 units, with estimated completion to occur in Q2 2022.
