Earlier this month FIGO participated in the launch of the Zero Maternal Deaths: Prevent the preventable campaign, a call to action led by the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) to accelerate maternal mortality reduction in Latin American and the Caribbean.
FIGO is excited to announce that registration is now open for the FIGO Latin America Regional Congress – Cartagena 2022. The Congress will take place 3–5 November, hosted in collaboration with the Federación Colombiana de Obstetricia y Ginecología (FECOLSOG) and the Federación Latinoamericana de Sociedades de Obstetricia y Ginecología (FLASOG).
Today marks World Patient Safety Day, a day to enhance global understanding of patient safety, increase public engagement in the safety of health care and promote global actions to enhance patient safety and reduce patient harm. This year, the World Health Organization (WHO) has put a particular focus on safe maternal and newborn care, urging all stakeholders to ‘Act now for safe and respectful childbirth!’
